How to look after your Bolga basket bags

Your baskets may need to be reshaped on arrival, if it got slightly misshaped during transportation. Don't worry its easy to reshape.

Follow these instructions:

1. Spray with water expect for handles with with cold or lukewarm water. Or you can submerge the basket in a tub of water ensuring the inside and outside of the basket is wet.

2. Leave the basket to rest for 5 minutes to allow the straw to absorb moisture and become pliable

3. Reshape the basket to your satisfaction.

4. Wipe dry with tea towel or leave to dry outside in the sun or in a warm environment.

5. Store in dry conditions

This process can be completed at anytime to keep your basket in good shape for the future.

Any loose pieces of straw can be trimmed with scissors.

Always keep baskets dry and away from moisture to avoid mould/mildew

Keep baskets out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading

For Banana leaf box bag: To clean, wipe your bag with a damp cloth and air dry. You can also use a blow dryer if your bag accumulates dust.
